ECO 4

What is the ECO4 Scheme?

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) plan is a government initiative that assists residents in boosting the energy efficiency of their homes. It focuses on low-income or disadvantaged families in order to reduce energy expenses and carbon emissions. Grants for insulation and heating are available, and the programme is open to anybody who gets help or is declared suitable under the council’s flexible energy laws.

What measures are funded under ECO 4?

ECO4 funding is available for several measures including Cavity Wall Insulation, Gas Boiler Replacement/ Upgrade, First Time Gas Connection, Heating Controls upgrade, Loft/ Room-in-Roof Insulation, Solid Wall Insulation, External Insulation among others.

How is ECO4 funded?

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) plan is required by the government to be funded by major energy suppliers. This implies that all significant energy suppliers in the UK must improve energy efficiency in order to minimise the country’s carbon emissions.

ECO4 is the most recent iteration of the ECO programme, aimed at lower-income homes. It is part of the government’s plan to improve energy efficiency in households susceptible to fuel poverty, where lower heating costs have the greatest impact on quality of life.

Check if you Qualify

Contact us by any method in ‘Contact Us’ page then we’ll contact you and ask more information about you and your property. Once we have all the necessary details, if you are eligible, we will walk you through the grant application procedure, which starts with a free survey conducted by a Gas Safe Registered engineer. The engineer will schedule a suitable time for your survey so they can examine your home’s present heating system and energy efficiency. Then your brand-new boiler and all the suitable measure for your house will be installed by a Gas Safe certified and reliable installer after your ECO program application has been officially accepted and all the details have been worked out.

Then all that’s left to do is relax and take advantage of a more pleasant house and less expensive energy.

How does the process work?

After you’ve applied for a ECO4 grant we will give you a quick call to confirm that you meet all the necessary criteria. It will only take a few moments to assess your eligibility. We’ll need to check what benefits you receive, your annual household income, how many children are living in your home, and confirm your status (whether you’re a private tenant or own your own home).

We will also ask you for the make and model of your current boiler, the condition it is in and whereabouts it’s located. If you can have all of this information to hand when we ring we’ll be able to get your application processed a lot quicker where we can find installers with funding in your area.
